Allegion is seeking a Software Program Manager to lead and coordinate software development activities across global Zentra teams, ensuring effective communication, adherence to Agile principles, and continuous improvement for enhanced productivity and delivery quality.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Project Manager, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects in Agile environments, Waterfall and Hybrid environments.
- Demonstrated experience working with global teams in distributed environments, managing cross-functional collaboration across multiple time zones.
- Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), GitHub, and/or JIRA for backlog management, reporting, and workflow optimization.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM), or equivalent experience preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Working knowledge of utilizing Project Management Tools like MS Project, Smartsheet
- Experience in managing production defects, including triaging issues for backlog integration or support queue allocation.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate software development dependencies between the US and India teams, and drive the dependencies to resolution with tenacity.
- Expert and integrating agile software development with waterfall manufacturing deliverables.
- Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, and Sprint Reviews) for multiple teams, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing team performance and identifying opportunities to enhance productivity and delivery quality.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and escalating risks, dependencies, and issues.
- Coordinate cross-functional team dependencies to achieve project objectives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Utilize Agile tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), GitHub, and/or JIRA to manage backlogs, track progress, and report on key metrics.
Other
- Work with teams geographically ranging from all US continental time zones to India time zone, meaning off hours meetings.
- Doing what it takes to make the team successful, sometimes by representing missing roles.
- Act as a servant leader and coach to Agile teams, promoting collaboration, accountability, and self-organization.
- Proven ability to work with senior executives and key stakeholders, translating strategic objectives into actionable team deliverables.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
