Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) is seeking a Software Project Management Support Engineer to work within SRS facilities to develop and maintain Operations-facing (manufacturing) hardware and software solutions
Requirements
- Excellent understanding of the full software development lifecycle
- Ability to team with customers and other stakeholders when developing and executing new efforts
- Understanding of business resources, priorities, and policies as they apply to project activities
- Experience working with Agile, Predictive (traditional), and Hybrid project management methodologies
- Experience supporting a Project Management Office
- Hands-on Agile Coaching experience
- Experience with Agile Project Management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, Asana)
Responsibilities
- Assist with developing and implementing portfolio management and project governance frameworks
- Lead Agile Coaching workshops/activities
- Assist with developing and managing project estimates, budgets, schedules, and execution performance
- Help with coordinating development sprint planning to integrate with overarching project schedules
- Supporting software engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are achieved
- Assist with developing and presenting project review briefings
- Assist with developing presentations and demonstrations for senior leadership and customers
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field plus at least five years of experience (YOE) in a relevant role, OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least two years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance
- Pre-employment background review and drug & alcohol test required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
