The IRS needs to ensure the quality and reliability of software systems, APIs, and third-party integrations through comprehensive integration testing to support digital operations.
Requirements
- At least Two (2) years of experience in software testing, with a focus on integration testing.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Experience with testing tools like – Jmeter, Postman, SoapUI, Selenium, Cucumber, and other testing frameworks
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Experience with Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server for data-driven testing.
- Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility testing standards and tools (e.g., JAWS, ZoomText).
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute integration test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to understand integration points and requirements.
- Perform end-to-end testing of software systems, APIs, and third-party integrations.
- Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Validate data flow and system interactions across multiple platforms.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices in integration testing.

- Must have pre-existing IRS clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree. Additional Four (4) expedience can be used in lieu of degree.
- Must be able to work from IRS Office from one of these locations: Ogden UT, Atlanta GA, Austin TX. Dallas, TX, Kansas City, MO. Martinsburg WV, Detroit, MI, New Carrollton, MD.
