Client is looking for a resource to test the Department of Motor Vehicles enterprise application to empower citizens of DC, promote safe operation of motor vehicles and public safety, and provide outstanding customer service.
Requirements
- Candidate must have technical proficiency for testing Software Applications along with proficiency in Jira.
- Ability to perform requirements review, write test cases, automate test cases, execute test cases, and create defects is essential.
- Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools (JIRA).
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (Selenium, ACCELQ).
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Must worked with version control.
- Good SQL skills to write SQLs to fetch data from PS tables, for validating table data and testing.
Responsibilities
- Performing Software Application Testing of customized solutions within the software platform to support critical business functions and meet the project objectives, client use requirements and company goals
- Write automated test scripts based on the User Stories and develop a methodology
- Knowledge of the database understanding and schemas to validate the test results
- Knowledge in API testing and understanding the wireframes in Figma/XD.
- Develop test strategies, plans, and test cases (functional, automation, integration, regression).
- Execute manual and automated tests, track defects, ensure resolution with proper documentation.
- Automate test cases using test automation frameworks and tools (e.g. Selenium, ACCELQ etc.).
Other
- The QA Tester will test the DC Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) application to meet the project objectives and support new or expanding business objectives.
- Be able to communicate to the Project Team for defects/issues identified during testing.
- The QA Tester will be working in an Agile Team environment to perform software application testing to verify and validate the application requirements are covered, to and improve our internal and client-facing environment.
- Communication with project management, clients, and other developers to ensure effective collaboration throughout the testing phase as a team player
- Maintaining a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and customer objectives and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully.
