Tricon Residential is looking to solve the housing supply shortage by providing high-quality rental housing options and exceptional service to residents, and this position will contribute to that goal by ensuring the quality of software enhancements through testing and collaboration with the engineering team.
Requirements
- Strong experience with exploratory and structured testing across web-based platforms.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or AWS Pipelines.
- Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub, GitLab) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Experience writing SQL queries and validating data using MS SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- Intermediate experience writing SQL queries
- Experience writing test cases using Gherkin or similar BDD syntax
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, ReadyAPI, or REST Assured
Responsibilities
- Design and execute test cases for user stories, exploratory testing, regression, and end-to-end test scenarios
- Develop and maintain reusable test suites across releases and projects
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to clarify requirements and ensure testability throughout the SDLC
- Track and triage defects; perform root cause analysis and ensure timely resolution
- Test case development using Gherkin
- Contribute to identifying automation opportunities and assist in test data preparation, automation maintenance, and test results validation
- Maintain QA metrics dashboards to support continuous improvement
Other
- BA/BS or combination of industry certifications and equivalent related work experience of 2 years or more
- 5+ years of manual software testing experience in Agile environments.
- Strong communication and analytical skills; comfortable collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in dynamic, ambiguous environments.
