Astemo is looking to solve the business problem of ensuring released software adheres to proper development aspects and meets target dates and budget by employing a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to plan, execute, and document software testing activities.
Requirements
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
- Knowledge of software development processes using CMMI, Automotive SPICE, TS16949, and ISO26262 will be required.
- Good understanding of the automotive development process.
- Have experience with electronic control systems.
- Have experience with design specifications and detailed software documentation.
Responsibilities
- review the software requirements
- monitor/track all software validation efforts to ensure they are completed correctly and on time
- execute the SWQA process to guarantee all released software adheres to the proper development aspects
- exercise proper version control on all work products including plans, specifications, reports, audits, etc.
- plan, execute, and document software testing activities for both production software and in-house test applications
- apply the principles and practices of software quality assurance throughout the software development life cycle
- monitors every phase of the development process to ensure that the design and software adhere to company standards
