Parallel Wireless is reimagining mobile networks with innovative, energy-efficient Open RAN solutions. The Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer will work closely with a small team of software developers to ensure the quality and reliability of software for 5G cellular products.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in testing real-time software in a Linux environment.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, pytest, or custom scripts).
  • Knowledge of programming in C++ or Python for test development and automation.
  • Familiarity with wireless communications protocols and concepts.
  • Hands on experience with automation of test equipment such as spectrum analyzer, VSA, channel emulator and traffic generator.
  • Direct experience with testing LTE or 5G stack implementations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate 5G algorithms and embedded software.
  • Perform functional, performance, stress, and regression testing on high-performance, real-time software for 5G cellular products.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Verify and validate software against product requirement specifications and customer use cases.
  • Collaborate with system architects and developers to understand feature designs and ensure test coverage.
  • Design and implement automated testing frameworks and scripts to improve testing efficiency.
  • Conduct technical analysis of test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.

Other

  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing, preferably in embedded systems or wireless communications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with developers and stakeholders.
  • BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline (or equivalent).
