WGU is looking to hire a Quality Assurance Engineer to help expand access to higher education through online, competency-based degree programs by ensuring the quality of their technical projects.
Requirements
- Knowledge of competency-based education philosophy.
- Knowledge of command line operations.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Ability to conduct simple database queries.
- Ability to work with Jira or other process management software.
- Testing experience in a multi-tiered based architecture.
- Experience with test case management software.
Responsibilities
- Works on a variety of technical projects of moderate scope with some instruction.
- May help lead/coordinate small to medium scope projects, that support the university’s Quality initiatives.
- Provides subject matter expertise in quality and technical areas as needed.
- May make recommendations and highlight opportunities to internal and external stakeholders.
- Uses judgment and discretion in achieving business outcomes in Quality domains.
- Coordinates and leads work in a team setting.
- Advocates for and understands competency-based education philosophy.

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
