The Boeing Company is looking for an Experienced Software Quality Engineer to join the Software Quality team to support the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. The role focuses on partnering with integrated program teams to develop and maintain a culture of first-time quality throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring software products provided by suppliers meet quality standards.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with the Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements, Design, Code, Integration & Test)
- 2+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Experience using Agile software development practices
- 5+ years of experience with the Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements, Design, Code, Integration & Test)
- 3+ years of software quality engineering applied experience including knowledge of MIL-STD-882E, DO-178 and/or AS9115
- Experience with DevSecOps and associated tools
Responsibilities
- Defines and maintains program level software quality engineering processes, resources, and infrastructure
- Uses established criteria to review, comment and recommend approval of software life cycle documents and program products
- Conducts audits of software engineering processes and associated support functions
- Assists in configuration management activities such as software product release and change control boards
- Assists with review of deviations and waivers to the software baseline
- Monitors or witnesses test activity to established test plans and procedures
- Assists with verification of test results to performance requirements
