- DO-178/254 Software/Hardware development guidelines
- Joint Software Systems Safety Engineering Handbook (JSSSHB)
- Perform hazard analyses on electrical, and embedded software systems
- AOP-52 Software Safety Design and Assessment of Munition-Related Computing Systems
- MIL-STD-1472
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical drawings, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Responsibilities
- Working as part of a multidisciplined team during the development phase of complex systems that require critical safety controls
- Executing system safety and embedded software safety programs including analyzing explosive, mechanical, electrical, and software systems for hazards
- Developing system safety architectures and oversight of implementation and verification of hazard mitigations at both system and subsystem levels while assuring compliance with other key system performance requirements
Other
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering or other relevant engineering disciplines and 4 years of relevant industry experience
- Active Secret clearance preferred; Secret eligibility required
