Verra Mobility is seeking a Software Architect with deep AWS expertise and a passion for Artificial Intelligence to own the design of high-performance, cloud-native systems and guide AI adoption across their products.
Requirements
- Deep AWS expertise
- Passion for Artificial Intelligence
- Expert-level AWS knowledge (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, ECS/EKS, IAM, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch. YOLO etc.) and integration with AWS AI services (SageMaker, Rekognition, Comprehend etc.)
- Strong background in API design, event-driven systems, and data pipelines.
- Ability to create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and decision records.
Responsibilities
- Own the architectural vision and technical strategy for enterprise-scale applications.
- Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant systems in AWS.
- Drive adoption of AI/ML technologies, from proof-of-concept to production.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure architectural consistency and technical quality.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
- Mentor engineers on advanced AWS services and AI/ML integration patterns.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Must be located in Phoenix, AZ and be willing to commute into our Mesa, AZ office two days a week.
