The agency needs to maintain its software systems, ensure employees are trained on software usage, and provide technical support. The role also involves researching and recommending software solutions to align with agency goals.
Requirements
- Must have working knowledge of analytical tools such as PowerBI or equivalent.
- Must be able to operate office equipment such as personal computers, copy machines, fax machines, telephones, calculators and scanners on a daily basis to review, update, track, and research data, information and/or produce reports; proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
Responsibilities
- Maintains current inventory of agency software titles, ensuring compliance with licensing requirements.
- Evaluates and tests new and existing software applications for compatibility with agency systems, including interoperability, privacy, security, and overall value.
- Researches and applies software updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Develops, monitors, and revises data and/or procedures related to software management.
- Assists in creating and implementing software-related systems and procedures that support agency goals and operations.
- Provides end-user with technical support and troubleshoots software-related issues.
- Monitors industry trends and emerging technologies to identify software tools that may benefit the agency.
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and/or related field, or one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid California driver’s license. Certification of good DMV record. Valid auto registration and insurance.
- Must have Knowledge of CDA’s goals and objectives, vision, mission, and values; and California Department of Education Child Care Division rules and regulations.
- Must have organizational skills with a strong analytical background.
- Must have advanced program and funding contract knowledge sufficient to analyze, interpret, critique and/or qualify as a resource to other fiscal analysts.
