Brock Solutions is seeking a Software Support Developer to provide Level 2 technical support for their airport and airline customers, troubleshooting issues affecting Baggage Handling Systems and conducting Root Cause Analysis of defects.
Requirements
- Experience with an object-oriented programming language is required. C-Sharp is preferred but Java, C++, or other languages are also acceptable
- Proficiency with SQL & knowledge of databases
- Knowledge of Flyway, Powershell, Azure Devops, JavaScript is an asset
- Familiarity with support ticketing systems such as SNOW (ServiceNow)
Responsibilities
- Performing Level 2 technical support for our airport and airline customers by troubleshooting a wide range of issues that are affecting the operation of their Baggage Handling Systems
- Assisting Level 1 service technicians by providing in-depth troubleshooting & technical support
- Conducting Root Cause Analysis of defects identified in production
- Creating, testing, and deploying software patches
- Maintaining, developing, and improving our automated test and deployment tools
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze, document, and recommend improvements to products and internal processes
Other
- Diploma or Degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
- Preferred 1-3 years’ experience (co-op considered)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- The ability to perform night/weekend work
