The U.S. Space Force needs to develop, rapidly deploy, and integrate the next generation of resilient space, ground, and user capabilities to deter attacks and provide critical information to warfighters.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working on a space, ground, software, or hardware system for a Major Defense Acquisition Program
- 3+ years of experience with systems engineering
- Experience mapping system requirements to physical and functional architecture
- Knowledge of DevSecOps or Agile software development, and systems engineering standards, including IEEE 15288.1 and IEEE 15288.2
- Experience with the development of technical specifications, interface control documents, integration plans and schedules, inter-service support agreements, system behavior diagrams, sequence diagrams, and network diagrams
- Knowledge of Air Force ISP Guide, JCIDS Manual, CJCSI 5123.01G, DODI 8330.01, AFMAN 33‐407, and DODAF
- Knowledge of DoD 5000.01 or 5000.02
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams and system owners, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
- Create and communicate software system architecture documentation to meet feature requirements.
- Guide the program development from prototype through operational fielding with government program management.
- Test, analyze, evaluate, validate, and verify systems
- Identify areas requiring urgent mitigation up front and early, to develop this system with advanced technology solutions
- Develop and integrate systems engineering deliverables
- Conduct configuration management of system configurations

- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics field
