Raytheon is looking to solve the problem of designing, developing, and testing advanced software applications for their Satellite Ground Systems, ensuring communication, surveillance, and defense capabilities through cutting-edge satellite systems.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of experience in object-oriented software design and development using Java in a Linux or UNIX environment.
- Experience developing software in an Agile/DevOps environment.
- Experience working in a DevOps environment using Docker, Kubernetes, Maven, Jira, Git, BitBucket and Confluence.
- Experience working with SonarQube or code analysis tools
- Experience with CI/CD
- Experience working with SQL
- Experience working in an Agile Development environment
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced software applications for our Satellite Ground Systems.
- Collaborate closely with systems engineers, hardware designers, and other software engineers to deliver reliable and high-performance software solutions.
- Interact with the agile development team regarding technical considerations, risks, and issue closure associated within development of the system capabilities.
- Assist the Agile development teams on best practices for software development in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Development (CI/CD) environment
- Design, implement, and test Java and Python based applications and software components for satellite ground systems.
- Migrate applications to Docker and Kubernetes
- Work firewall change requests
Other
- Active and transferable Top Secret security clearance that can be crossed over to a TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Must be willing to work onsite in State College, PA office
