TekSynap is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to support a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) task order, providing specialized expertise across multiple system and software disciplines.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with web component applications, XML (including schema definitions and generation using XSD), relational databases, and webmaster responsibilities.
- Relevant technical certification from a nationally recognized authority.
- Experience with systems software products, including problem resolution, design, development, testing, and operational integration.
- Knowledge of operating systems planning, capacity analysis, performance evaluation, and hardware upgrade strategies.
- Experience with software development activities including design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Familiarity with web component applications and relational databases.
- Experience with XML, including schema definitions and generation using XSD.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized expertise across multiple system and software disciplines, including related applications and technology implications.
- Perform in-depth technical analysis and support for systems software products, including problem resolution, design, development, testing, and operational integration.
- Assist with planning and integration of new hardware and software products, ensuring smooth system conversion and deployment.
- Maintain, debug, and configure systems software while ensuring performance optimization and system reliability.
- Contribute to operating systems planning, capacity analysis, performance evaluation, and hardware upgrade strategies.
- Work from technical specifications to develop or modify system and application-level software solutions.
- Support software development activities including design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
Other
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems/Technology.
- Secret – IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive Clearance or Tier 3 (T3) investigation.
