TekSynap is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to support a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) task order, providing specialized expertise across multiple system and software disciplines to solve technical problems and improve system efficiency.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with web component applications, XML (including schema definitions and generation using XSD), relational databases, and webmaster responsibilities.
  • Relevant technical certification from a nationally recognized authority.
  • Experience with systems software products, including problem resolution, design, development, testing, and operational integration.
  • Knowledge of operating systems planning, capacity analysis, performance evaluation, and hardware upgrade strategies.
  • Experience with software development activities including design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and webmaster responsibilities.
  • Experience with XML, including schema definitions and generation using XSD.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized expertise across multiple system and software disciplines, including related applications and technology implications.
  • Perform in-depth technical analysis and support for systems software products, including problem resolution, design, development, testing, and operational integration.
  • Assist with planning and integration of new hardware and software products, ensuring smooth system conversion and deployment.
  • Maintain, debug, and configure systems software while ensuring performance optimization and system reliability.
  • Contribute to operating systems planning, capacity analysis, performance evaluation, and hardware upgrade strategies.
  • Work from technical specifications to develop or modify system and application-level software solutions.
  • Support software development activities including design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.

Other

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems/Technology.
  • U.S. Citizen with Secret clearance
  • Less than 10% travel required
  • Must reside in one of the approved hiring states within the United States.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds, frequently lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
