The Alternative Investment Platform Modernization group is seeking a skilled QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of their investment platform through comprehensive testing and automation strategies.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript automation using JEST
- Strong proficiency in Java automation using Cucumber
- Experience with API testing tools such as Insomnia and Postman
- Solid understanding of SQL and experience in database testing
- Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-based testing environments
- Proficient in using JIRA for issue tracking and project management
- Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD processes
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using JavaScript (JEST) and Java (Cucumber) to ensure the functionality and performance of the platform.
- Conduct API testing using tools such as Insomnia and Postman to validate endpoints and ensure they meet specifications.
- Perform SQL queries to validate data integrity and support database testing.
- Utilize AWS services for testing environments and automated deployments.
- Track and manage defects using JIRA, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with development teams.
- Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins to streamline testing processes.
- Participate in requirements analysis and provide feedback on testability and design for new features.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on testing and automation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
