The OPAL HDx Mapping System is a 3D mapping and navigation system used in cardiac electrophysiology (EP) procedures. It requires high-performance rendering and algorithmic techniques to create accurate anatomical models and provide real-time feedback to physicians. The Software Test Engineer Intern will help ensure the quality of this system by developing and executing test cases for various software components.
Requirements
- Proficient in Python or MATLAB.
- Working knowledge of C++ is highly desirable.
- Squish, Python, C++, MATLAB, and Linux.
Responsibilities
- developing test cases for a wide range of software components, including user interface, algorithms, and back-end data handling.
- writing or updating test cases
- manual execution of tests
- interacting with a variety of electronic equipment in the lab.
- working on test automation which requires coding skills in Python or MATLAB or C++.
- Design, develop and execute test cases to ensure the quality of the product by proving system functionality, verifying business and user requirements are met in Electrophysiology domain area.
- Manual execution of tests or executing automated test scripts
Other
- Must graduate between Fall 2026 – Spring 2027.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or Physics.
- Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th – August 7th OR May 26th – August 14th,2026.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization.
- Must have reliable transportation to commute to Boston Scientific’s Waltham, MA location.
