LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is seeking a Software Test Engineer to test and support software applications, ensuring the soundness and quality of changes throughout the software development life cycle.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of Oracle SQL and familiarity with PL/SQL programming
- Must understand the software testing life cycle
- minimum one year experience in testing
- minimum two years of experience in testing with at least one year using automated testing tools
- minimum five years of experience in testing with at least three years using automated testing tools
- Proficient computer skills and experience with computer programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Responsibilities
- Use existing test cases to thoroughly verify the soundness of changes to LifeSouth software
- Generate test data required for testing
- Create or update detailed test cases based on the requirements, specifications and other documents
- Develop automated test scripts that will include database queries
- Participate in customer issue resolution activities and verify the solution
- Independently analyze the requirements, specifications, and other documents to ensure complete test coverage
- Provide input and feedback to improve and refine testing strategies used by the Software Development team
Other
- Associate’s degree in computer science or related field. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be substituted
- Valid driver’s license required. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements
- Skill in effectively communicating with technical and non-technical personnel at all levels of the organization, both orally and in writing
