The Boeing Company is looking for a Software Test Engineering Manager to manage a team of software test engineers responsible for software test activities of the on-aircraft software and ground software used on or with the B-52H Bomber, including testing production software, research and development, and internal applications development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or test engineering
- 1+ years of experience leading or managing software engineering or testing
- Experience working in embedded software engineering aerospace environments
Responsibilities
- Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Software Testing
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manages, develops and motivates employees
Other
- Experience in a leadership role that moves people to act, motivates and inspires excellence and innovation
- Experience in solving complex issues
- Experience with demonstrating openness and honesty, behaving consistently, and acting in accordance with moral, ethical, professional, and organizational guidelines
- Experience with mentoring, coaching, and growing software engineering teams
- Requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
