Muon seeks a Software Test Manager to test the software that runs their orbiting satellites.
Requirements
- Experience with test automation, particularly using Python
- Previous experience delivering a hardware system or subsystem through the engineering lifecycle - from requirements through build and deployment
- Experience building hardware-in-the-loop testbeds, particularly for aviation or space
- Implementation of Continuous integration / continuous deployment systems, especially for hardware
- Experience writing test plans, procedures, and providing operational support to cross-functional teams
- Significant current/previous hands-on technical work on an interdisciplinary project (such as robotics, autonomous vehicles, avionics, or aerospace)
- Equivalent experience or B.S. in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, robotics, aerospace, or related field
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of test software engineers in developing comprehensive test suites to validate the integrated satellite systems
- Work with discipline engineers to devise tests (verification and validation) that prove or disprove our assumptions and models
- Work with with avionics and software engineers to identify problems and lead investigations into anomalous vehicle behavior
- Identify and implement processes, tools, and infrastructure that help accelerate our design and development effort
- Create an inclusive, collaborative, and team-oriented culture that fosters high productivity and opportunities for growth

- 2+ years direct management experience of 3+ people
- 5+ years experience on high performing software teams
- 2+ years of professional experience managing complex technical projects and developing and tracking schedules

- U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158
- Equivalent experience or B.S. in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, robotics, aerospace, or related field
