Parsons is looking for a Software Tester to collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to create test plans that identify software problems and their causes against software developed for Defensive Cyber Operations.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with testing tools and bug-tracking software is a plus.
- Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit).
- Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, or C-Sharp).
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other team members to understand project requirements and ensure quality standards are met.
- Assist in creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform regression, functional, and usability testing on software applications.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for product improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and testing tools.
