The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) needs to build modern, virtualized solutions to enable critical missions, ensuring mission-critical applications are optimized, scalable, and ready for both VDI and thick-client environments.
Requirements
- 8140.01M IAT Level II certification
- 3+ years with VDI technologies (e.g., VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps, Microsoft RDS)
- 2+ years with application virtualization tools like Citrix XenApp, App-V, App Volumes, or FlexApp
- Deep knowledge of Windows 10/11 desktop and Windows Server (2012+)
- PowerShell scripting and automation experience
- Familiarity with non-persistent desktop environments and profile management (e.g., VMware DEM, Profile-Unity)
- Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy
Responsibilities
- Package, virtualize, and deliver mission applications with advanced functionality and graphics.
- Persist user settings across sessions in non-persistent VDI environments.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities in the application sequencing process.
- Configure and support VDI and application delivery infrastructure.
- Enhance disaster recovery and continuity of operations strategies.
- Apply regular security patches and updates to keep environments compliant and secure.
- Work hands-on with VMware technologies and other virtualization tools to troubleshoot and optimize performance.

- Active TS/SCI security clearance required
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of systems administration/virtualization experience (Additional experience or certifications can substitute for degree)
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Occasional travel to St. Louis, MO customer site
