American Airlines is looking to solve complex business and technical challenges within its Corporate Security Technology group by hiring a Solution Architect to lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of enterprise-level IT solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in system architecture, software development, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
- Expert knowledge of Azure, .NET, SQL, and architectural design.
- Advanced knowledge of IT systems, networks, and applications.
- Expertise in designing scalable, secure, and efficient IT architectures.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
Responsibilities
- Leads the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of enterprise-level IT solutions.
- Provides strategic technical direction, fosters innovation, and resolves complex business and technical challenges.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive technical specifications, proactively identifies risks, and recommends effective alternatives.
- Architectural Design: Develop and maintain the overall architecture of IT solutions, ensuring they meet business needs and are scalable, secure, and efficient.
- System Integration: Oversee the integration of new technologies and systems into the existing IT environment, ensuring compatibility and performance.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure that all solutions comply with industry standards and regulations and implement robust security measures to protect data and systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends and incorporate relevant advancements into the organization’s IT strategy.

- Bachelor's degree in technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
- Airline Industry leadership experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
