Responsibilities
- Develop enterprise-level software solutions and integrate with existing applications, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of software design
- Develop applications and integrations in Visual Studio, leveraging the .NET platform
- Microsoft SQL Server development, create stored procedures, views, functions, etc.
- Modify existing software to resolve issues, to adapt it to new hardware, or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance where applicable
- Programmatically store, retrieve, and manipulate data in enterprise-level, relational databases
- Perform database conversions from one system to another
- Develop and perform system testing and validation procedures within software solutions and Grooper, and debug/troubleshoot as necessary
Other
- Communicate, both written and verbally, with clients, stakeholders, and coworkers
- Elicit requirements with the BIS project team and clients to obtain information, limitations or capabilities for integrations, software solutions, and data processing projects
- Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interfacing between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements, or resolve client issues
- Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new software solution or upgrading/updating an existing solution
- Consult with the BIS project team, clients, or other departments on project status, proposals, and technical issues, such as solution and infrastructure requirements or maintenance
