The company needs to perform Source Inspection on behalf of customers, ensuring parts conform to specifications and completing necessary reports and data transactions.
Requirements
- knowledge of ERP software as well as use of customer portals.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Must know how to read blueprints, and to use different gages, such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, thread gages, pin gages, height gages, protrusion blocks, etc.
Responsibilities
- Inspect parts visually and dimensionally for conformance to manufacturing drawings, quality control specifications and customer requirements.
- Performs Source Inspection duties on behalf of designated customers
- Performs ODA member duties on behalf of the FAA, including 8130 report completion, submittal
- Must utilize all precision measuring equipment and techniques as applicable, including micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
- Perform First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102 requirements
- Use statistical sampling plans; complete/verify various inspection reports-including S.P.C. charts, first article reports, and defective material and test reports.
- Complete data processing move transactions as required.
Other
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and three to five years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Communicates with department supervision regularly.
