Southwire Company LLC is looking for interns to help with key projects and initiatives that align with their Spark strategic goals, specifically within the Spark Innovation Hub and Digital Solutions team. This involves improving the ability of early career professionals to transition from school to work by providing real-world applications of their academic studies.

Responsibilities
- Conduct research into existing solutions and ML approaches for handling large amounts of data for Grid Operation.
- Develop, implement and evaluate ML algorithms for optimization of electrical grid operation data.
- Assist with the development of a business case for ML solutions identifying the value proposition for Southwire as well as end users.
- Support data collection, analysis and detailed reporting of findings.
- Assist in updating and creating ML documentation and AI/ML process flow diagrams.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other deliverables to communicate project progress and results.
- Engage with cross-functional teams, business verticals, startups, academic institutions drive project success.

- They should be eager to learn, demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, and possess excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Your intern assignment is generally 10-12 weeks, and co-op assignment is generally 16-18 weeks and will include an assigned project and opportunities to present your work.
- You will also collaborate on other exciting projects and work with talented peers and inspirational leaders, many of whom began as interns and co-ops themselves.
- You will be provided a robust developmental experience through an immersive onboarding and offboarding experience, assigned a mentor, networking opportunities, organized events, activities, and community service /volunteer initiatives.
