L3Harris AUV Systems is seeking to operate and maintain Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) and supported auxiliary equipment in complex working environments/conditions
Requirements
- Experience with software communication and networking protocols
- Understanding of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams layouts
- Mechanical drawing understanding
- Prior experience with troubleshooting software/hardware issues while in the field
- Knowledge of AUV systems and supported auxiliary equipment
Responsibilities
- Operating, testing and validation of AUV payloads such as sonar, cameras, acoustic position systems, object avoidance, launch and recovery systems (LARS) and custom payloads
- Perform depot-level troubleshooting, maintenance, & repair at Customer sites
- Planning and validating basic to complex mission planning & flight behaviors
- Ability to provide technical assistance outside normal business hours via phone/email/remote desktop sessions
- Maintaining and developing AUV product documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Develop and verify customer specifications, conduct operator training, and actively participate as an L3Harris AUV System field service representative during demonstrations and field exercises with existing and potential new customers

- Active SECRET clearance required
- Ability to travel (US and International) approximately: 60%
- Physically able to work on vessels, in confined spaces, lift and carry 50-lbs and stand for extended periods during inclement weather
- Ability to work independently on-site with customers
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience in a technical field and/or former military experience
