Nationwide is looking to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of the new Annuity platform ALIP by hiring a Specialist, Quality Engineer who can drive automation and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure technology solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes (eg. TOSCA, Hexawise, Postman).
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., TOSCA).
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and API testing tools.
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum development practices.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Four or more years of experience with using test optimization and automation processed and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain both automated and manual test scripts for web-based and API-driven applications.
  • Execute a variety of testing types including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
  • Contribute to the evolution of QA processes, tools, and best practices to drive quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure all testing activities align with regulatory and security standards relevant to annuity insurance.
  • Analyzes and reviews moderate requirements, user stories and technical work products to create the automation needed.
  • Uses the appropriate quality engineering tools to define test data management, test automation, security/vulnerability, performance, and regression testing needs.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test cases and scenarios.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry, especially annuities.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, knowledge of planning.
