Nationwide is looking for a Test Automation Developer to drive quality assurance efforts and improve testing processes for Personal Lines insurance products and workflows, particularly in product pricing functionality.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and Agile/Scrum frameworks
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools and scripting languages- Ruby, Tosca
- Familiarity with test management tools such as JIRA
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency in one or more programming language such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle
- Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter is highly desirable
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions that support Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Defining test strategies, identifying automation opportunities, and creating robust test plans
- Collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to design and implement automated test scenarios
- Building and executing automated test scripts, and contributing to continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
- Managing defect tracking and resolution using tools such as JIRA or Spira, and participating in defect triage and root cause analysis
- Mentoring QA team members on automation best practices, driving continuous improvement in testing processes, and communicating effectively across teams and time zones
- Analyzing, coding, configuring, testing, debugging, documenting and maintaining applications
Other
- Completion of undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degree
- Four or more years of analysis and technology experience
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
- Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus
