HII's Mission Technologies division is looking to train transitioning active-duty military personnel to gain real-world experience in Spectrum Management, with the goal of potentially transitioning them into full-time roles. This program aims to leverage the military background of interns to benefit HII while providing valuable experience to the intern.
Requirements
- basic knowledge of spectrum technologies
- basic responsibilities of spectrum management and analysis
- knowledge on tools and techniques
- understanding of all spectrum management software, operation, and analysis concepts and procedures
- understanding of Spectrum Management Theory and Policies
- understanding of FCC and NTIA regulations, policies and procedures
- understanding of technical documentation, presentation of that documentation and project management
Responsibilities
- Actively train on meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior company leadership.
- Learn Spectrum Management principles, technologies, and core functions.
- Learn the day-to-day responsibilities of Spectrum Management.
- Be assigned special projects as needed.
- Understand domestic (NTIA and FCC rules) and international spectrum regulations and policy.
- Understand DoD spectrum regulations and policy.
- Understand AF spectrum regulations, policy and procedures.

- This is an UNPAID internship through the DoD SkillBridge Program for transitioning active-duty US military personnel.
