Vistra Nuclear Operations Company is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to provide engineering support to ensure the reliability, availability, efficiency, and functionality of all equipment, processes, and projects at the Davis-Besse plant.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Access desired
- Proficient in AutoCAD or similar systems
Responsibilities
- Interface with engineering staff, operations & maintenance groups, and other Vistra personnel to ensure consistent, practical, and effective engineering solutions.
- Incumbents will rotate through the different areas of the plant to gain a working knowledge of those areas of the plant. Areas include, but are not limited to Safety, Operations, Maintenance, Instrumentation & Control, Reliability and Chemical / Environmental
- Will be assigned various engineering projects.
Other
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Students sponsored through Optical Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT) are NOT eligible for this internship.
- Must be currently enrolled in a 4-year institution of higher education and pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills; presentation skills desired
- Official transcripts must be received from your school prior to start date
- Must be in good academic standing with your school
