Ansys is looking to solve real-world engineering problems and advance career skills by having interns work on developing advanced engineering features in their flagship Mechanical product, experiencing software development for engineering problems, and simulating physics for next-generation products.
Requirements
- Strong C++ or related object-oriented programming languages
- Knowledge of FEA or similar computational techniques
- Experience in using Microsoft Visual Studio and software configuration management tools (e.g. GIT)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies (.NET Framework, COM, ATL) and agile software development practices
Responsibilities
- Develop new features using object-oriented programming language in state-of-the-art Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software application based on the Finite Element Method (FEA)
- Work alongside software developers during the design, implementation and verification process.
- Investigate defects in production code.
- Develop unit tests for the developed features.
- Analyze results and improve the usability of the software.
Other
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related technical major with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Must be currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to university after the completion of the co-op program
