Tampa Electric Company is looking for an intern/co-op to assist with Technology Asset & Vendor Management, specifically focusing on understanding business unit needs, managing technology purchases, SAP invoice processing, deliveries, and aiding in the creation of RFIs, RFPs, and SOWs.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of business software applications and hardware technologies.
- Stays current with IT industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Comprehends technical design specifications and possesses knowledge of development tools and technologies in support of the Information Technology Architecture.
Responsibilities
- serves as the point of contact for all Technology purchases, SAP invoice processing and deliveries.
- Helps develop and assists in the creation of Request for Information (RFIs), Request for Proposal (RFPs), and Statement of Work (SOWs) under the guidelines and guidance of Corporate Purchasing and Contracts
Other
- The successful applicant should be enrolled in an accredited university as a college undergraduate or a graduate level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline.
- To qualify as a co-op student, enrollment in the university’s co-op program (proof of enrollment required); if not eligible for co-op program (or program unavailable), the student will be considered an intern.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required.
- Junior or Senior
- Good verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Understands project plans and is able to clearly articulate their role, project goals, and timelines.
- Responding to storms will be considered a condition of employment.
