Raytheon is looking to develop, integrate, and test software for the Navy's next-generation integrated radars, specifically the SPY-6 DDG Flight III Air and Missile Defense Radar (AMDR) and Flight IIA Backfit radars, as well as support new business initiatives for SPY-6 and the growing Radar Digital Software Product Line (RDPL) franchise. The role aims to ensure flawless technical, schedule, and cost performance for these programs, drive innovation, and support future growth through proposal development and process improvement.
Requirements
- Experience in Agile software development methodologies and use of Scrum for software development
- Experience with EVMS to manage program execution
- Demonstrated knowledge of SPY-6 system and sensor software
- Experience with the development and maintenance of Radar Product Line processes
- Familiar with DevOps methods
- Proven track record of credibility with Navy customers and associated contractor executives and technical leadership such as Lockheed Martin
- Experienced improvement and efficiency methods aimed at complex problem solving
Responsibilities
- Manages all software architecture, development and software maintenance activities, coordinating with the Navy and other stakeholders.
- Responsible for the execution of AMDR and Backfit Software Development, ensuring all needed functionality is delivered on time and with No Doubt quality.
- Brings Agile and DevOps best practices into the RDPL teams, increasing productivity and accelerating delivery of production software.
- Support new innovation technology adoption related to Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to bring continuous improvement initiatives to the product line and the SW organization.
- Supports the SPY-6 FoR Program Office in future growth through proposal development and the deployment and continual improvement of people, processes and tools.
- Represents the interests of several engineering directorates (SW, Integration & Testing, etc.) on the program and is responsible for managing a team capable of delivering products that include software, algorithms, requirements, simulations, customer briefings, etc.

- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- DoD Clearance: Secret
- Direct and frequent collaboration with RDPL Program Leadership, SPY-6(V)1/4 IPTs and CPTs, the PMO, Lockheed Martin leadership and the Navy.
- Must be able to clearly communicate status, issues and resolutions to executive leadership on matters that significantly impact the program.
