The University of Central Florida's College of Graduate Studies needs to transform complex data into actionable insights to support critical business decisions.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in SQL, including the ability to code, develop, and update SQL procedures and queries.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Design and development experience in Business Intelligence platforms: Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, and/or SSRS.
- Experience working with large-scale data sets and enterprise data warehouses.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data into clear insights.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, relational databases, and data logic.

Responsibilities
- Highly Proficient in SQL & Query writing to design and develop quality efficient actionable database solutions ensuring data quality, security, & integrity
- Designs, develops, and provides ongoing visualizations/reports using business intelligence and analytic platforms. Including but not limited to SSRS, Power BI, and other available reporting, retrieval, analytics tools
- Builds and implements BI and database solutions to support data ingestion, processing, and visualization of metrics, functional, and applications data
- Assists in creating new or enhanced data warehouse, database, and BI components
- Researches business problems and creates data models that help analyze these business problems
- Assists with maintaining user information access security within the business intelligence solution(s)
- Provides technical support, mentoring, and training for users as well as ensuring proper documentation for all business processes, procedures, and practices that require the use of GRIT data.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for business-related data.
