Orion Innovation is looking for engineers to support database setups in an active-active configuration and optimize database performance, specifically involving migration from SQL MI to Azure SQL and complex stored procedure management.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of Stored Procedures.
- Minimum of five years of experience in SQL Server performance tuning and optimization
- At least five years of experience in logical and physical database modeling, designing database schema, stored procedures, triggers, and other database-related objects
- Minimum of five years of progressive experience in developing, unit testing, and troubleshooting SQL Server, including SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS (desirable)
- Advanced knowledge of T-SQL/Stored Procedure/Function programming and design
- Experience with Azure SQL MI and Azure SQL – migration from SQL MI to Azure SQL
- Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in Azure Data Factory
Responsibilities
- Engineers will be required to support database setups in an active-active configuration and optimize database performance.
- Ability to split SPs into two and migrating the changes from SQL MI to Azure SQL
- Hands-on familiarity working through complex stored procedures and make necessary changes
- At least five years of experience in logical and physical database modeling, designing database schema, stored procedures, triggers, and other database-related objects
- Minimum of five years of progressive experience in developing, unit testing, and troubleshooting SQL Server, including SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS (desirable)
- Experience with Azure SQL MI and Azure SQL – migration from SQL MI to Azure SQL
- Make necessary changes to SSIS packages
