Centier Bank is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking SQL DBA/Azure Data Engineer to manage and optimize their data environment as they transition from limited on-premises SQL Server infrastructure to a modern cloud-native architecture using Azure SQL and Microsoft Fabric (OneLake).
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience performing daily administration of MS SQL systems
- Experience with Microsoft Azure SQL , Fabric( Onelake ) or other equivalent cloud hosted database/ datalake systems
- Experience with Data Modeling (Dimensional and Medallion architectures)
- Experience in CI/CD environments and DevOps best practices
- Experience with Azure Pipelines
- Experience with Power BI REST API and deployment pipelines
- Familiarity with Powershell scripting
Responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor , and optimize the performance of a small footprint of existing SQL Server s and databases
- Perform backup, recovery, patching, and routine maintenance for SQL instances
- Proactively monitor database performance using native and other tools ( Redgate, SQL Profiler, Extended Events, DMVs) and recommend tuning strategies.
- SSIS ETL package creation, administration and debugging
- Implement and enforce database security, including authentication, authorization, and auditing.

- Design, implement and maintain scalable data warehousing infrastructure in Azure environments
