US Main is looking to enhance its applications within the wholesale brokerage insurance domain by hiring a SQL Developer to manage SQL database environments, develop innovative solutions, and provide technical support.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in SQL development and database management.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL, VBScript, and JavaScript.
- Expertise in ETL processes, SSIS packages, and workflow automation tools.
- Familiarity with Policy Administration platforms and Specialty Insurance (P&C) systems.
- Experience working with tools such as Documaker, Rackley, Infomaker, PowerBuilder, Retool, GoAnywhere, and Redgate Tools.
- Proficiency with version control and collaboration tools like Git.
- Understanding of web applications, SOA, microservices, containers, APIs, and cloud-managed databases.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement robust SQL-based solutions to support business operations and application enhancements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for development and production incident support, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Maintain and improve existing software applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Manage SQL database environments across production, testing, and development stages, implementing best practices for security and efficiency.
- Analyze technical issues, identify potential risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies to prevent future incidents.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
