US Main is looking to enhance its applications within the wholesale brokerage insurance domain by hiring a SQL Developer to manage SQL database environments, develop innovative solutions, and provide technical support.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in SQL development and database management.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL, VBScript, and JavaScript.
  • Expertise in ETL processes, SSIS packages, and workflow automation tools.
  • Familiarity with Policy Administration platforms and Specialty Insurance (P&C) systems.
  • Experience working with tools such as Documaker, Rackley, Infomaker, PowerBuilder, Retool, GoAnywhere, and Redgate Tools.
  • Proficiency with version control and collaboration tools like Git.
  • Understanding of web applications, SOA, microservices, containers, APIs, and cloud-managed databases.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement robust SQL-based solutions to support business operations and application enhancements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for development and production incident support, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Maintain and improve existing software applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Manage SQL database environments across production, testing, and development stages, implementing best practices for security and efficiency.
  • Analyze technical issues, identify potential risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies to prevent future incidents.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
