The Community Health Center Network (CHCN) is seeking a SQL Developer/DBA to manage and support their databases, ensuring data integrity, protection, and efficient operation across on-premises and AWS cloud environments. This role is crucial for supporting the health centers' mission of providing the best possible care by ensuring the reliability and performance of their IT infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to write efficient queries for data retrieval and analysis on-premises and AWS cloud environments.
  • Solid experience in SQL Server Database Administration, including maintenance and optimization and migration to AWS cloud platforms.
  • Strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) packages for data integration and workflow automation.
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud security best practices, including encryption, IAM roles, and compliance with database services.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in database development, administration, and support within MS SQL Server environments (2012 and above).
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs and FHIR standards.
  • Experience building and maintaining applications with C-Sharp and Node.js frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and troubleshoot SQL code, including stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes and ensure compatibility across on-premises and AWS cloud environments.
  • Design, create, and maintain SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) packages for data integration between on-prem and AWS cloud systems.
  • Implement robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for both on-premises and AWS cloud databases.
  • Apply best practices in database design, normalization, and optimization for hybrid and cloud-native architectures.
  • Perform database performance tuning and proactive monitoring using tools like SQL Profiler, AWS CloudWatch etc.
  • Manage High Availability and Disaster Recovery: auto-failover groups, point-in-time restores, geo-replication, and cloud-native HA features.
  • Utilize monitoring tools and alert systems for access logs and error logs; enforce database security best practices and cloud IAM policies.
