The Navy requires engineering support for SQL Server-based and Power BI-based workloads across Cloud-based and On-Prem systems to manage, build, and develop data management platforms.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining a highly available Windows Server environment, including servers hosting Microsoft SQL Server 2017, 2019, or 2022 in instances and clusters
- 5+ years of experience managing enterprise reporting platforms such as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI Report Server, including report deployment, security administration, performance tuning, and service configuration
- 3+ years of experience implementing STIGS to support SQL Server hardening and FISMA Compliance
- Experience troubleshooting SQL server, installation, monitoring, and performance issues
- Experience leveraging PowerShell and scripting languages to automate server builds, SQL installations, security patching, configuration management, and daily operational tasks to improve efficiency and system reliability
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, clustering, backups, and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and meet Recovery Time Objectives and Recovery Point Objectives for critical business systems
- Ability to obtain DoD 8570.11- IAT Level II Certification such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP Certification, within 30 days of hire date
