Requirements
- Proficiency in Python and its data science ecosystem (Pandas, NumPy, others).
- Strong experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Strong experience building modern GenAI stacks.
- Experience with advanced agentic concepts like multi-agent systems or complex planning techniques.
- Expertise with our key partner platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Databricks, or Google Cloud (Vertex AI).
- Experience with big data technologies (like Spark) and a strong understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases.
Responsibilities
- Partner directly with business and engineering leaders to understand their core challenges and translate those needs into technical specifications for AI solutions.
- Design, build, train, and deploy a wide range of machine learning and generative AI models to solve complex problems.
- Develop and manage the data pipelines required for our AI systems, ensuring data quality and readiness for model training and inference.
- Integrate AI models into existing Lummus business applications and workflows using APIs and other services to create seamless user experiences.
- Fine-tune and evaluate large language models (LLMs) and vision models on our proprietary data, with a focus on performance, accuracy, and IP security.
- Own the full lifecycle of AI applications, from initial prototyping and experimentation to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Foster innovation by researching new techniques and technologies to stay at the forefront of the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or other engineering discipline, Mathematics, Data Science, or a relevant field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in computer or software engineering.
- Experience in processing engineering, chemical, or related industries.
- Ability to drive change management around AI.
- Ability to communicate well about complex topics.
