Genesys is looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer to lead innovation in knowledge orchestration for their enterprise AI platform, focusing on building and refining the infrastructure behind retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in applied ML or AI systems engineering
- Hands-on experience with semantic search, embeddings, and vector databases (e.g., FAISS, pgvector, Milvus, Pinecone)
- Proficiency in Python and major ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face)
- Experience building or deploying RAG systems and integrating with large language models
- Familiarity with MLOps practices including CI/CD, model deployment, and monitoring
- Working knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience architecting knowledge ingestion pipelines for diverse data types (structured and unstructured)
Responsibilities
- Design and implement knowledge orchestration pipelines across enterprise data sources, including embedding generation, indexing, and multi-source retrieval
- Build and optimize large-scale vector stores and retrieval pipelines using tools like Pinecone, Weaviate, and FAISS
- Develop reusable RAG services that power multiple AI applications, prioritizing accuracy, performance, and reliability
- Explore and apply multi-modal embedding techniques (e.g., text, voice, image, structured data) for more comprehensive knowledge grounding
- Contribute to a shared framework of modules for ingestion, transformation, retrieval, and caching within the AI Services platform
- Define standards and best practices for scalable, observable, and compliant knowledge systems
- Collaborate with AI application developers to provide reliable APIs and services that integrate seamlessly with end-user applications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute thought leadership in knowledge orchestration best practices
