WEX is looking to leverage AI/ML applications to drive innovation across industries such as fleet & EV, Health Benefits, and Corporate Payments, addressing complex, real-world problems for both internal and external customers.
Requirements
- Advanced experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Python) and database languages (e.g., SQL)
- Experience aligning generative AI and advanced analytics with business objectives through iterative experimentation, rapid prototyping, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven experience designing and deploying Agentic AI workflows, enabling autonomous, goal-driven decision-making processes in dynamic business environments.
- Comfortable integrating foundation models (e.g., GPT, Claude) with structured and unstructured data for real-time insights and task automation.
- Hands-on expertise implementing RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines that combine large language models with contextual enterprise knowledge bases for scalable, trustworthy AI solutions.
- Advanced experience building, cleaning, and testing data quality for data sets preceding modeling
- Deep understanding of modeling and statistical approaches (e.g. logistic regression, linear regression, random forests, etc.)

- Contribute to the development and implementation of AI/ML models and algorithms to drive innovation across various industries, including fleet & EV, Health Benefits, and Corporate Payments
- Participate in rapid prototyping efforts, focusing on learning from experiments and iterating on solutions to identify the most effective approaches
- Assist in embedding AI/ML models into web and mobile applications
- Contribute to the development of solutions leveraging large language models and other advanced AI techniques to tackle complex problems, such as natural language understanding, text generation, and knowledge representation
- Conduct data analysis and feature engineering to extract valuable insights and improve model performance
- Collaborate with our AI platform team to design, develop, and deploy scalable and robust AI/ML solutions to solve business problems and improve operational efficiency
- Monitor and optimize AI/ML models to ensure their accuracy, reliability, and performance in production environments
