NBCUniversal is looking to solve the problem of accurately measuring the performance of its distribution partnerships across digital platforms, MVPDs, and enterprise/marketing partnerships, to enable smarter decisions, stronger launches, and more effective deal outcomes.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets
- Experience with Databricks (or similar platforms) strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with BI tools—ideally Tableau—to build, maintain, and troubleshoot dashboards and visualizations
- Familiarity with the streaming media ecosystem and distribution business models
- Experience working with data product or data engineering teams
- Experience with project management, issue tracking and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of NBCU distribution deal constructs to inform performance measurement and guide reporting needs
- Support the development and maintenance of recurring dashboards and performance reporting for distribution partner integrations
- Perform detailed data validation and QA to ensure reporting outputs are accurate, complete, and aligned with defined measurement requirements
- Investigate data anomalies, reporting gaps, or inconsistencies, and partner with cross-functional teams to help identify root causes and implement fixes
- Build SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and validate data from large-scale data sources
- Support reporting requirement gathering for new distribution launches
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics partners to ensure reporting reflects current data availability and business analytic needs
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, technical, or analytical field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science)
- 2+ years of experience in data analytics, data products, business intelligence, or performance reporting
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in explaining technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, iterative environment with multiple workstreams while maintaining a highly organized work slate
- Hybrid work arrangement, contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week
