Restaurant Brands International Inc. is looking to support the commercialization of ingredients for new menu items and relevant intellectual properties to develop a distinct menu portfolio for its brands, including TIM HORTONS, BURGER KING, POPEYES, and FIREHOUSE SUBS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science/technology, Dairy Science, Bakery Science, Food Microbiology or related field
  • Some knowledge of USDA and FDA regulations relate to standards of identity, ingredients, nutrition labeling and label claims
  • Knowledge of applicable procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to product commercialization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Authoring of FHS US & CA ingredient specifications and completion of specs in a timely matter
  • Ability to support successful new or innovative product launches in a rapidly changing environment
  • Work closely with plant manufacturers to ensure scale-up and product production is a match to gold standard samples
  • Attend plant trials and support product launches to ensure successful implementation
  • Participate in ingredient evaluations at test laboratories, confirming all parameters meet specifications
  • Test kitchen support and sample management
  • Able to deliver written and oral complex technical messages to cover project status clearly, while bringing technical knowledge and transparency to departments inside and outside of R&D

Other

  • 3-5 years of experience in food service, food manufacturing or related field
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve various project challenges with the support of cross-functional team members
  • Bachelor’s degree in food science/technology, Dairy Science, Bakery Science, Food Microbiology or related field
