The company is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Planning Engineer to ensure manufacturing processes comply with specification requirements and to review manufacturing work instructions for compliance against quality assurance requirements.
Requirements
- Experience reviewing work instructions for compliance to quality assurance requirements
- Shop floor experience in multiple process areas such as welding, machining, and NDT
- Comprehensive knowledge of quality principles, and hands-on work experience in a manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering in the creation and release of shop floor documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable quality inspection points and tests in build records (i.e NDT, GMIP, DCMA etc).
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with specification requirements.
- Provide interpretation of requirements.
- Ensure planning incorporates the proper certification and documentation requirements.
- Work with program quality engineering to review contractual quality requirements.
- Ensure applicable flowdown into Aerojet Rocketdyne manufacturing documentation and shop floor build records.
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related quality experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0-2 years of prior related quality experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related quality experience.
- Valid driver’s license; employees who drive on company business to carry out job-related duties must possess a valid driver’s license for the class of vehicle driven and meet automobile insurability requirements of the Company
