McKesson is seeking to enhance and maintain a microservices-based ecommerce platform to support B2B commerce operations, ensuring scalability, robustness, and alignment with business objectives.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on engineering experience with Java, Spring Boot, HTML/CSS/JS, RDBMS, REST, GraphQL, Git.
- Foundational knowledge of HTTP, cookies, sessions, AJAX, and browser behavior.
- Familiarity with Elastic, Redis, React, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, Python.
- Familiarity with the MCP Protocol and RAG based AI agents.
- Exposure of LLM Agent connectivity via APIs.
- Exposure to Kafka, change data capture, and data replication processes is a plus.
- Understanding of microservices-based architectures.
Responsibilities
- Work under the guidance of senior engineers to develop and maintain scalable and robust microservices using Spring Boot and React.
- Contribute to the architecture and design of new features and enhancements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards.
- Apply AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) for code generation, documentation, and unit testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the platform with ERP systems, data warehouses, and other essential applications.
- Partner with product management to refine feature requirements and specifications.
- Participate in code reviews and team learning sessions to build technical proficiency.
- Implement software development best practices including testing and continuous integration.
Other
- Typically requires a minimum 2+ - 5 years of experience in Java based full stack software development with a focus on Spring Boot and React.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S, now or in the future, without the support from McKesson.
- Travel requirement: 10-15%.
- Relocation is NOT budgeted for this position.
