Requirements
- Strong problem-solving ability
- 5+ years of solid work with fundamental algorithms, system design, and distributed systems
- 5+ years of professional full-stack experience using modern programming languages such as Java, JavaScript / Typescript, Scala, Kotlin, C++, C, etc.
- Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between
- Experience working on building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the product team to define and prioritize features
- Make informed trade-off decisions between speed and technical debt for feature launches
- Scale successful products and features for widespread sitewide adoption
- Design and implement various systems to meet the needs of the Rocket Growth business
- Have direct ownership of new features for improving the Marketplace's scalability, reliability, availability, extensibility, and performance
